SOCIAL MEDIA was the downfall of those involved in an incident in Romford in the early hours of Sunday morning, which has led to two men, aged 24 and 28, being arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police officers became aware of a video circulating on social media showing an incident with a car. Inquiries revealed that the incident on the film had taken place in Chandlers Way, Romford. A damaged grey Ford Focus was found on Tuesday in nearby Durham Avenue. It was recovered and is believed to have been involved in the filmed incident. The two arrested men remain in custody.
Detective Inspector Dean Grafton said, “Although we have made progress with our enquiries, we are keen speak to anyone who has information and to hear from any victims who may have been hurt during the ordeal. This is believed to have been an isolated incident and we’re working hard to establish what happened in the lead up to the attack. I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.”
