Westfield watch thief caught on camera

A YOUNG MAN who stole a high value watch from a shop in Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford, was caught on camera going through the shopping centre on the way to commit the crime.

The theft took place on Saturday, 6th January. The thief entered a shop and asked to try on a Breitling Super Avenger II watch, which had a retail price over £10,000. He then punched the sales assistant in the face – and fled with the watch.

Fortunately, the sales assistant has recovered from the injuries he suffered. Police have now found images of the suspect making his way through Westfield Shopping Centre on his way to the store.

Anyone who can name the man in the pictures, or has any other information about the theft, is asked to contact the Flying Squad via 101 and quote reference CAD5149/6Jan18. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
