Who saw acid attack in Old Bethnal Green Road?

POLICE ARE appealing for anyone who was out and about in the vicinity of Old Bethnal Green Road, E2, in the early hours of last Wednesday, 3rd April to come forward.

The call comes after two men and a woman were attacked at approximately 1.10am with a corrosive substance. A number of cars parked in the area were also damaged.

The police attended and gave first aid to the victims, one of whom had to attend an East London hospital. Fortunately, none of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

Detective Constable Angus Handley, said, “This took place outside a block of flats and I’m sure a number of people would have heard and seen the disturbance. I would urge anyone who has not yet spoken with police to come forward and speak with us.”

Police have charged three men in connection with the incident, but still want to speak to witnesses or anyone with information about the attack.
