Woman dies after Hackney cycle collision

POLICE HAVE revealed that a woman who was involved in a collision with a bicycle in Hackney has since died. The incident occurred on 28th August on Kingsland High Street, E8.

The woman, 56, was a pedestrian. She was trying to cross the road when she and an electric-assisted pedal cycle collided. She has now been named as Sakine Cihan, from Dalston. Police have informed her next of kin.

Police from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are continuing to investigate the collision. One arrest has been made.
