POLICE ARE appealing to the public to help them find a silver VW Golf which they believe four suspects used to make their getaway from the scene of a stabbing in Walthamstow.
The incident took place at around 00.45, in the early hours of Saturday, 24th October on Blackhorse Road, near the junction with Lloyd Road, E17. The emergency services were called out to the scene and found a 31 year old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to an East London hospital, where he is still receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
The police have now established that four young men fled the scene in a VW Gold car – and they have now released an image of the car. They would like to speak to the four young men as part of their investigation, and investigating officers are scouring local CCTV for more sightings of the car.
Detective Constable Ramandeep Gahir who leads the investigation said, “This was a brutal attack which inflicted a devastating injury on the victim. We are committed to ensuring those responsible are suitably brought to justice for their actions. We are seeking the public’s help to identify the vehicle captured on CCTV. Do you recognise this silver Volkswagen Golf? Were you in the area on that evening in October and remember seeing something suspicious? If so, please get in contact.”
