London Sportif launches All Stars

Emdad Rahman

London Sportif has arranged an eight week cricket festival in association with All Stars and Dynamos cricket. Sessions will take place every Tuesday at Victoria Park for the next seven weeks – and they are a great way to introduce your chioldren to sport activities, and cricket in particular.

Tower Hamlets Speaker Ahbab Hussain was the chief guest at the launch. Club president Ibrahim Khalil was also in attendance. More than 25 children aged between 5 and 11yrs old attended – many with their parents, who came to watch them play.

London Sportif was established in 2017. The club has over 200 members and participated in the FA Cup and Inner London football league. The club has five cricket teams playing in the Middlesex Cricket league, ED & LCL and has a badminton project associated with badminton England.

There five activators who run the cricket festival are Ataikur Rahman, Muhib Alom, Muhi Mikdad, S Ali and Abul Hayet. London Sportif also delivers regular coaching sessions at the Newham Leisure Centre and Sports Dock in Beckton with children aged 5-12 and adults (over 18s) for badminton.
