Who shot Newham man in the head?

A MAN WAS shot in the head just before 10.30pm on the evening of Sunday, 21st January on Romford Road, E15, at the junction with Vicarage Lane.

The emergency services were called out and the victim was taken by ambulance to an East London hospital. The victim has life threatening injuries His next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Trident Team are leading the investigation and they are appealing to the public for information.

Detective Inspector Simon Smith, who is leading the investigation, said, “I’m appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward and tell us what they know. There is a young man in a life-threatening condition and it is vital we uncover exactly what led to him being shot. We are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry but I need anyone with information to come forward and speak to police, or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
